With Electa Ride bike motor or trike motor, you get just the amount of exercise you need. No pedaling required from a stop, use power, or pedal normally, the choice is yours. These motors will get a 150 lb rider up a 10% grade without pedaling. These are the same electric bike motors that are used on our famous Commander and Shopper electric motorized tricyles. An electric power kit consists of Motor, all wiring to the battery, a push button controller and disengaging lever, Battery Case and instructions. As an option you may purchase a Heavenly Touch Speed controller which allows you exceptional control and believe it or not, reverse. Another important option is the key switch which allows only the driver with the key to operate your now electric vehicle. We also sell Batteries and Chargers for these Motor Kits. KITS FOR TRIKES: All trike motors mount on front wheel except for DeSoto, Regal and Joyrider. We have rear wheel drives for those three.

Model Series 3: Attachable Bike Motor
This is Erich, one of the fellows who comes up with some great ideas and helps build the Palmer products. He's been using the 17 mph Series 3 motorized kit on his bike riding 4 miles to work for the past year and a half. He says, "It's fast, saves gas and costs peanuts to run." PS: The optional Key Switch was Erich's idea.

Joyrider Trike Motor Kits: We've also designed an attachable kit for the easy to enter Joyrider tricycle. These kits require use of a speed controller and drives the left rear wheel. There are two choices:
Model 100JR: The 1 HP motor with speed controller and battery case. Has a top speed of 10 MPH. Price $787.00
Model 200JR: The 2 HP motor with speed controller and battery case. Has a top speed of 10 MPH. For Heavy usage. Price $866.00

The Palmer Power Kits friction drive the wheel. A kit contains the motor, mounting hardware and battery case with instructions for attachment. These are 12V systems. You will need a battery to energize the kit and a charger to charge the battery after use. We sell both. An engagement lever disengages the motor from tire for normal pedaling.
Bike motor kits, then trike motor kits were our first products. We've been making these kits since 1973 and some of our first electric power kits are still running. Mounting of a power kit requires the front fork have a drilled hole above crown of fork going from front to back.. (Fender brackets on many trikes have this hole for the fender mount bracket.) Not required for Joyrider models since mounting is on the rear. All kits carry warranties. These bicycle motor and tricycle motor power kits provide penny a mile transportation.
